This lovely, modern townhouse has two stories, two bedrooms, dining area, two and a half baths, an upstairs television lounge with DVD player and cable TV, one-car garage, and a fully equipped, open-plan kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, pots, pans, silverware and much more.
And WiFi, of course. There’s also a water-filtration system.
You’ll also find an abundance of bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, sheets and blankets, including a real goose-down comforter for our chilly winter nights.
There’s a balcony with a view of the Sierras and glorious sunsets. The house is a 10- to 15-minute walk to Pátzcuaro’s famed, huge, beautiful Plaza Grande which is lined with towering fir trees, coffee shops and an abundance of restaurants.
Available for short-term vacation rentals or long-term stays. The owners, a bi-national couple, respond immediately to any rare problems that might appear.
There is a laundromat just over a block away. A supermarket is about half a mile away. Public transportation in the form of minibuses and taxis pass regularly one block away.
At 7,200 feet above sea level, Pátzcuaro is usually cool, often damp. Leave your shorts and sandals at home. October till mid-December is the best time to visit, especially November when it’s picture-perfect. Spring is less desirable. It can get warm and stuffy, especially in the early evenings.
